DESCRIPTION

Low Pressure Sodium is one of the most energy efficient l= ight source &nbs= p; available today, with high light output and low energy consumption. = ; It is ideal for parking lots, roadways, industrial sites, security area o= r where light pollution is of concern.

Due to the monochromatic light source and high energy sav= ings, many local governments adjacent to observatories and coast lines have= legislated the use of Low Pressure Sodium in their communities.

Unlike full spectrum light sources, the monochromatic lig= ht source can be easily filtered by astronomers to &= nbsp; observe the heavenly skies. In ad= dition, some endangered sea animals, such as sea turtles, are not attracted= to this type of light source, avoiding potential harm which may arise.

LUMINAIRE

Housing is trapezoid rectilinear shape, construction is d= ie-formed aluminum and continuously welded to the cast Roadway Mount Adapto= r, at the seams for strength and integrity. Compact design to reduce = EPA.

Separate ballast compartment and internal reinforcing rib= for Roadway Arm Adaptor. Both door frames has mitered corners with r= emovable single pin hinges,

allowing complete removal from the housing for ease of ma= intenance. Sealed with memory retentive poron

gasket for weatherability.

FINISH

Our standard colors are available in Thermoset TGIC / Pol= yester powdercoat. Custom colors are available upon request.

OPTICS

Highly specular reflector system, constructed from=

homogeneous Alzak aluminum, with 97% reflectivity.=

Asymmetric (Types-3) with tempered flat glass lens or cle= ar polycarbonate.

Designed for high light levels, uniform light distributio= n, and wide pole spacing. Dark Sky compliant to control undesirable g= lare, light trespass, and sky pollution.

Ballasts are multi-tap HX-High Power Factor regulating au= totransformers, starting temperature

-20°F or –30°C= in Low Pressure Sodium.

Factory tested and pre-wired for 277V/60Hz. =

R7 socket base Low Pressure Sodium lamp, horizontal lamp = position with stabilizer. Twist Lock Photoelectric Control, rated at = 1800VA.

BALLAST & LAMP

ROADWAY MOUNT ADAPTOR

Durable one piece cast aluminum construction, copper free= , produced from certified ASTM 356.1 ingot per ASTM B-179-95a or ASTM B26-9= 5.

One upper ribbed support and three lower ribbed &nbs= p; supports with stainless steel = set screw per each rib.

Mast arm adaptor opening is 2-7/16” and flares to a= larger inside opening. Set screws are used not only to secure the fi= xture to the mast arm, but also to assist in leveling and adjusting the LPS= Roadway luminaire.
